Radiola gives you free and unrestricted access to numerous online radio streams. The application is lightweight and it has a clean design, which gives you the possibility of connecting to any stations and switching between them on the fly. Furthermore, it is offered completely free of charge, for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux and you can have it up and running in just a few seconds on any of these platforms.

The application comes with its own list of radio stations, which are neatly categorized in a tree structure, on its compact user interface. All you have to do is double click a station's name and wait a second or two until the connection is established. Details about the station, as well as the name of the current song are displayed on the top portion of the window. You can adjust the volume on the right side of the interface, next to the stations list, where you can also find a spectrum analyzer.

Another key feature of Radiola is the possibility of recording a broadcast. You only need to click the Record button, beneath the spectrum analyzer and the application will start recording right away. Click the button again and the recording will be saved automatically on a default path.

The available radio stations are categorized by music genres and they can be filtered using keywords. If you are not satisfied with Radiola's current offer, you can add your own stations to its playlist. Specifying a name and a URL on a small window is all that is required to add a new station.

Pros

The application allows you to connect to countless online radio stations. They are well organized, based on musical genres. The best part is that Radiola is capable of recording a station's broadcast.

Cons

There are no serious issues to address. If you are a radio consumer, you will definitely like how Radiola can help you consume it more efficiently.
